Lone Star Auto Reconditioning is owned by husband-and-wife team Kris and Laura Oppermann, with their son Hayden working alongside them. We serve vehicle owners and dealerships across Greater Houston, bringing a personal approach to interior repair and reconditioning.
After serving in the U.S. Army, including a deployment to Afghanistan, Kris found his way into a specialized trade through a friend from church. That introduction became the foundation for a business of our own—one built around skilled work, relationships and the pride that comes from putting your family’s name behind what you do.
Today, Kris brings the hands-on repair expertise, Laura brings her marketing and business support experience, and Hayden contributes to the day-to-day work as the next generation of our family team. Whether you’re bringing us your own vehicle or trusting us with your dealership’s inventory, you’re working with the people behind the business.

Kris leads the hands-on reconditioning work, helping vehicle owners and dealership teams understand what can be repaired and bringing worn interiors back to life. An Army veteran, he brings a practical approach and pride in his work to the business he runs with his family.
